Plenty of players braced for a $100 GTA. It didn't happen. Take Two's preorder announcement on 24 June 2026 set the Standard Edition at $79.99, with the Ultimate Edition at $99.99.
UK prices appeared when stores opened at midnight on 25 June. Metro and Push Square reported £69.99 for Standard and £89.99 for Ultimate, the same as most big PS5 releases.

What do the GTA 6 preorder bonuses include?
Two extras come with early orders. Every preorder or purchase before 20 November 2026 gets the Vintage Vice City Pack, which Take Two describes as items that "flash back to when the neon burned brightest". Digital preorders also get a free month of GTA+, Rockstar's paid membership for the current GTA Online.
That GTA+ month is redeemable straight away. Take Two says it opens the GTA+ Games Library, which includes GTA 5 and other older Rockstar titles, so you have something to play until 19 November.
What does the Ultimate Edition add?
The extra $20 or £20 buys the Ultimate Edition Upgrade. Take Two calls it "an exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons, apparel, and action threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia's story". The Independent adds that the extra missions and gear arrive as you move through the story.

Can you upgrade to Ultimate later?
Yes. Rockstar Support says Standard owners can buy the upgrade at any point, including boxed buyers once their code is redeemed. Rockstar hasn't put a standalone price on the upgrade in its own announcement.
That makes Standard the low risk choice. Start with the story, and pay the extra only if the gear starts to tempt you.
Is the collector's box worth it?
Only if you want merchandise. The $399.99 Vice City Collection on the Rockstar Store doesn't include the game at all, as our collector's edition report explains.
