Quick answer
Who are the GTA 6 characters?
The leads are Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, and both are playable. Rockstar has also introduced Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest, the rap duo Real Dimez, Raul Bautista and Brian Heder. Rockstar's story line says an easy score goes wrong and drags Jason and Lucia into a conspiracy.
A strip club owner who also runs a record label. A bank robber who likes the risk more than the money. A friend who believes every conspiracy online. Rockstar's GTA VI site introduces a cast built for trouble, and it all orbits two people.
GTA 6 has two playable leads, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. The Extended Look showed players switching between them.
Who is Jason Duval?
Jason is the lead who never quite got out. Rockstar describes him as someone who grew up around grifters and crooks and ended up in the Leonida Keys, doing jobs for local drug runners while looking for an easier life.
That easier life never shows up. Rockstar's own story line, repeated in Take Two's preorder announcement, says Jason and Lucia "have always known the deck is stacked against them".
Who is Lucia Caminos?
Lucia is fresh out of Leonida Penitentiary and determined not to go back. She opened Trailer 1 in a prison interview, and she has been the face of the game since. Our Lucia guide covers her in full.
Who are the GTA 6 supporting characters?

| Dre'Quan Priest | Aspiring music mogul signed to Boobie's label |

Descriptions are summarised from Rockstar's character pages. We have left out characters named only in leaks or datamines.
How do the characters connect?
Through Vice City's music business and the Keys' drug trade, as far as Rockstar has shown. Boobie owns the label, Dre'Quan is signed to it and Real Dimez sit in the same scene. Brian Heder gives Jason his work in the Keys, and Raul is the kind of contact who turns small jobs into big ones.
Rockstar hasn't explained the conspiracy yet. That is the part the game will have to deliver on 19 November.
