Quick answer
What is GTA 6 Trailer 3?
It is An Extended Look, a 27 minute presentation captured on PS5 and released on 27 August 2026. It premiered on Netflix at 3pm ET, then reached Rockstar's YouTube channel and the GTA VI site at 9pm ET the same day, after a six hour Netflix window.
GTA 6's third trailer was too big for Netflix. An Extended Look premiered there on 27 August 2026, and demand briefly knocked the service over before footage started playing, as The Independent reported.
It runs about 27 minutes. Netflix says it was captured entirely from in game footage on PlayStation 5.
How was GTA 6 Trailer 3 released?
Rockstar announced the special on 6 August 2026. Netflix had it exclusively for six hours from 3pm ET, then it went to YouTube at 9pm ET. Wikipedia's entry also records problems on Twitch at the premiere.
Netflix framed the deal as entertainment, not marketing. Its vice president of nonfiction series, Brandon Riegg, said Grand Theft Auto reveals "have become cultural moments in their own right".
What did the Extended Look show?
It showed long stretches of play and story. The BBC and Mashable describe Jason and Lucia switching between each other, a drug job in an apartment that goes wrong, shootouts, robberies and a bodyguard mission.
The systems got screen time too. Coverage noted a slow motion aiming mode called Focus, a six star wanted level, a criminal profile that tracks what you do, and side activities from racing and basketball to scuba diving and the gym. Treat those as what Rockstar chose to show, not a full feature list.
How does Trailer 3 compare with Trailers 1 and 2?

| Released | 4 Dec 2023 | 6 May 2025 | 27 Aug 2026 |
| Length | about 1.5 min | about 2.75 min | about 27 min |

Will there be a GTA 6 Trailer 4?
Rockstar hasn't announced one. Fan accounts have teased a big moment this week, but nobody has a date or a source. We will only report a new trailer when Rockstar posts it.
