iGrandTheftAuto posted the Times Square screen first, crediting Reddit user UPDAT1NG on r/GTA6. GTA 6 Updates then tied New York and Chicago together in one post.

Where is the GTA 6 Times Square LED?

It sits on 11 Times Square, above the subway entrance, on a branded Cities LED bezel.

Photos shared on 15 October show collage style launch art, the date NOVEMBER 19, 2026, and PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Rockstar logos along the frame. GTA VI Centre and GTA 6 Info posted matching angles of the same board.

What GTA 6 ads are on Chicago buses?

They are wraps on Big Bus Tours tourist double deckers, not CTA city buses.

videotech shared Chicago photos credited through Reddit user snooAvocados9139 and @D1ZNUTTS. SourceVI and GTA News posted the same Jason and Lucia sunset key art on the coaches. Calling them city buses is wrong. Big Bus Tours is a hop on hop off tourist line.

Were guns removed from the GTA 6 outdoor art?

Yes, in the fan photos, when you compare them with Rockstar's published cover art.

On Rockstar's collage cover, Jason holds a handgun in one panel, and another panel shows a character with a rifle. GTA 6 Countdown circled empty hands on the Times Square Jason and Lucia panel and on the purple suit panel. A follow up from the same account says the Chicago Big Bus wrap also shows no firearms.

Rockstar's Launch Trailer promo art of Jason and Lucia on a car still shows both holding handguns. That contrast is visual only. Rockstar has not said why the outdoor versions differ, and we are not guessing at transit rules or ratings.

No. As of the evening of 15 October 2026 we found no matching post on Rockstar's X account and no Rockstar Newswire item announcing Times Square or Chicago outdoor.

Major outlets had not published a same day confirmation in our check either. Earlier Times Square chatter from May 2025 about Trailer 2 was a separate episode and does not prove today's board.
