When are GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 leaving PS Plus?
Both leave the PS Plus Extra and Premium Game Catalog on Tuesday 17 November 2026. Sony put them in the Last Chance to Play section of PS Plus on 20 October.
IGN and ComicBook both report the 17 November date for the whole list. IGN then put the story in front of its 10 million followers on X early on 21 October.
GTA 5's exit was not news. A week earlier PS5 owners got a console notice saying GTA V was available "but only until November 17". GameSpot reported that the notice linked straight to the GTA 6 preorder page.

Which games are leaving PS Plus in November 2026?
Eleven games leave PS Plus Extra and Premium on 17 November. Rockstar's pair are the headliners.
The list, as ConsolePCGaming and IGN print it, names Red Dead Redemption 2 on PS4 and GTA V on PS4 and PS5. The other nine are Football Manager 26, The Talos Principle 2, Cricket 24, Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom, Hotshot Racing, Rock of Ages 3, Earth Defense Force 4.1, Rapala Fishing Pro Series and Yet Another Zombie Defense HD.
What happens to my GTA 5 and RDR2 saves?
Your saves stay put as long as you don't delete them. Sony's PlayStation Plus guide says catalogue games stop working when they leave, but the save data waits for you.
Buy the game later and you carry on from the same save. Add ons you bought for a catalogue game lock when it leaves and come back when you own it, the same guide says.
GTA Online is the bigger catch on PS5. Rockstar's support page says players who bought Story Mode through a subscription need to buy GTA Online to get back to that progress. Our sister site has the full GTA Online breakdown.
Why are GTA 5 and RDR2 leaving PS Plus before GTA 6?
Neither Sony nor Rockstar has given a reason. The timing does most of the talking.
ComicBook reads it as Rockstar clearing the way so players have nothing else to pick on launch week. That is the outlet's view, and no company has said so.
Both games come and go. GameSpot notes GTA 5 came back to the catalogue in November 2025 and Red Dead Redemption 2 returned in May. So a return later is likely, though nobody has promised one.
