The short version

Quick answer

Has GTA 6 taken over the PlayStation Store?

Switch on a PS5 tonight and, going by the screenshots, GTA 6 is the first thing the store shows you. iGrandTheftAuto posted the front page key art at 11.37pm UK time on 15 October, 24 minutes after sharing the trailer playing on the store.

What is on the GTA 6 PS Store page now?

The game's listing now carries the Launch Trailer that Rockstar Games released at 2pm UK time on 15 October.

iGrandTheftAuto and GTAVI_Countdown both posted it on the store. Our Launch Trailer breakdown covers what the trailer shows, and our view count report tracks how fast it is climbing on YouTube.

Is GTA 6 really trending at number one on the PS Store?

That rests on two fan accounts, so treat it as likely but unproven.

GTAVI_Countdown called GTA 6 the "#1 trending title" at 12.04am UK time, and calhampton_ said the same four minutes later. KingZezim_Kalux also posted the takeover, which makes four accounts in all. We could not view the console storefront from our own setup, and Sony has published no chart.

What does the wider PlayStation ad artwork show?

It shows Lucia sitting on the bonnet of a red car while Jason stands beside her, both holding handguns.

videotech shared the crop at 11.43pm UK time, crediting a PlayStation ad. The wider frame adds palm trees, a small plane over the skyline, bullet holes in the car's front bodywork and two store buttons, Ultimate Edition and Standard Edition. We have not found the original ad, so where it ran is still unknown, and we are not rehosting the fan image.

Those two buttons are the choice waiting on the store page. The listings open at midnight UK time and midnight ET on 19 November, and our Ultimate Edition guide shows what the extra money buys.
