When was GTA 6 delayed?
GTA 6 was delayed on 2 May 2025 and again on 6 November 2025. Reuters reported the first, which pushed the game from fall 2025 to 26 May 2026. Four days later Rockstar released Trailer 2, which softened the blow for a lot of players.
The second came in a Rockstar Newswire post on the same day Take Two reported its quarterly results. Reuters covered the move to 19 November 2026.

Will GTA 6 be delayed again?
Nothing points to a third delay. On 7 August 2026 Take Two's first quarter results listed GTA 6 for 19 November 2026 and kept its full year forecast of $8.0 to $8.2 billion in net bookings. A company does not repeat a number that size if its biggest game is about to slip out of the year.
The stores tell the same story. Preorders have been live since 25 June, Take Two's preorder announcement fixed preloading for 12 November, and boxed copies ship that same day. A delay now would mean pulling listings that are already taking money.
None of that is a guarantee. Rockstar delayed Red Dead Redemption 2 twice too. But both of those delays came well before preorders opened.
