The short version

Fan accounts claim The Weeknd posted Justice on Instagram and treat it as a GTA 6 soundtrack tease. Rockstar confirmed Justice wrote the score and Flower in a Hurricane for the Launch Trailer. There is no confirmation The Weeknd is on The Album.

Quick answer

Did The Weeknd tease a GTA 6 song with Justice?

Fan accounts say The Weeknd posted a photo of Justice on Instagram on 15 October 2026 and read it as a hint he may appear on GTA 6 The Album. Rockstar has confirmed Justice composed the score and the Launch Trailer song. Nobody from Rockstar, Justice or The Weeknd has confirmed him on the soundtrack.

Unconfirmed. A Weeknd fan page and a GTA account both pushed the same claim on 15 October. Treat it as fan reading until a named artist or Rockstar says otherwise.

NewsWeeknd asked whether The Weeknd was teasing new music for GTA 6 with Justice, and said he shared a photo with them on his Instagram Story. grapebrainGTA posted a screenshot of that Story and asked if it hinted at a song on GTA 6 The Album.

What did the Instagram Story actually show?

It showed a side by side portrait of Justice, the French duo Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay. The Story sat on an account named gene.hackerman. There was no caption naming GTA 6, Rockstar or The Album in the circulating frame.

That is the whole primary object. Fans then linked it to the day's Justice news because Rockstar had just confirmed the duo wrote the score.

What has Rockstar confirmed about Justice and GTA 6 music?

The duo composed the original score for Grand Theft Auto VI. Rockstar also put their new song Flower in a Hurricane on the Launch Trailer, with Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.

Two hours after the trailer, Rockstar said on X that more information on the score album is coming. That post does not name The Weeknd.

Flower in a Hurricane also sits on Grand Theft Auto VI The Album, a 34 track soundtrack with Atlantic Records. Prices and editions are on our sister site's Launch Trailer song guide.

Is The Weeknd confirmed on GTA 6 The Album or radio?

No. Rockstar has not listed him. Justice has not named him. The Weeknd has not posted a confirmed public statement tying himself to the soundtrack on his main channels that we can verify.

Claim	Status	Source
Justice composed the GTA 6 score	Confirmed	Rockstar Games
Flower in a Hurricane is on the Launch Trailer and The Album	Confirmed	Rockstar Games
More news coming on Justice's score album	Confirmed	Rockstar on X
The Weeknd posted Justice on Instagram	Fan attributed, unverified	NewsWeeknd, grapebrainGTA
The Weeknd has a song on The Album or radio	Rumour only	No primary confirmation

Older chatter about a Justice and Weeknd collaboration goes back years and is a separate thread. It does not prove anything about today's Story.

Why are people connecting The Weeknd to GTA 6 right now?

Because the timing is loud. Rockstar spent 15 October talking about the score composers, the Launch Trailer song and a coming score album. A photo of that same duo then circulated with Weeknd fan accounts attached, so the jump to The Album felt natural to readers who already wanted a big pop name on the track list.

For the radio side of the same music push, our GTA 6 radio stations roundup covers the hosts and stations Rockstar has already named.

Until Rockstar, Atlantic, the duo or The Weeknd say he is on it, the honest line is simple. The score composers are confirmed. The Weeknd on The Album is still a rumour.
