The short version

Overnight on 16 October, fans spotted cars with GTA 6 Leonida licence plates being escorted through Miami, including a Lamborghini in Vice Beach PD police livery. Seven X accounts shared it. The four we read trace back to one small account and two Instagram spotters. Rockstar Games and news outlets had not commented by about 2.25am UK time.

Quick answer

Are there GTA 6 promo cars in Miami?

Overnight on 16 October, fans spotted cars with GTA 6 Leonida licence plates being escorted through Miami, including a Lamborghini in Vice Beach PD police livery. Seven X accounts shared it. The four we read trace back to one small account and two Instagram spotters. Rockstar Games had not commented by about 2.25am UK time.

Cars wearing Leonida plates were rolling through Miami overnight, and they were not alone. They had an escort.

The first post came from WillMacGTA at 1.45am UK time. He described "Cars with Leonida license plates in Miami, including a Lamborghini dressed as a vice Beach police car." A follow up said the cars were being escorted.

What GTA 6 cars were spotted in Miami?

Fans saw a group of cars with Leonida plates, including a Lamborghini in Vice Beach PD livery.

iGrandTheftAuto posted photos at 2.02am UK time, credited to Instagram users gianni_mariotti and andrewblakeames. videotech called it a "street car showcase", and GTASixInfo shared more from andrewblakeames. Seven X accounts shared the sighting, four of which we read, WillMacGTA, iGrandTheftAuto, videotech and GTASixInfo. All four trace back to WillMacGTA, a small account, and those two spotters.

Is the Lamborghini a Vice City police car?

No. Every post we read calls it Vice Beach PD, not the Vice City force.

Fan analysis site MapHeist lists Vice Beach police as a separate agency in GTA 6, with a black and white livery. The same page notes that real Miami Beach Police have run a promotional Lamborghini. So a police style Lambo in Miami proves nothing on its own.

Did Rockstar send these cars to Miami?

Nobody has said so. Rockstar Games had not posted about the cars by about 2.25am UK time, and no news outlet had covered them.

The escort is the detail that points to an organised promo. It is also the least sourced, resting on one account.

This would make it the second unclaimed car in two days, after the pink and black Vice City Tesla spotted on 15 October. Rockstar has not owned that one either. Its confirmed Miami deals include the Welcome to Vice City sign on the Kaseya Center, a county arrangement USA Today reported, and our Miami Beach marketing report tracks the rest.
