Before the end of October, according to NateTheHate. The insider, who posts on the ResetEra forum as NateDrake, added that detail after the Insider Gaming story, Notebookcheck reports.

If he is right, reviewers get three weeks or more with the game. That matters for a world as big as Leonida, where a fair review needs dozens of hours.

Why did people think GTA 6 would skip reviews?

Because of leak fears and a May report. Notebookcheck says Brazilian journalist Pedro Henrique Lutti Lippe claimed Rockstar would invite press to a private location to play, rather than send copies home.

That plan would have cut the risk of footage escaping, which is a live worry after the Cyberleek clips. Sending copies weeks early is the opposite bet. Take Two boss Strauss Zelnick said in May that reviews still matter, Notebookcheck adds, pointing to Rockstar's Metacritic scores in the mid to high 90s.

When did GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 reviews come out?

Both ran one day before launch. GTA 5 reviews went live at 3pm UK time on 16 September 2013, PlayStation Universe reported at the time, for a 17 September release.

Red Dead Redemption 2 reviews followed the same pattern on 25 October 2018, a day before it came out, GameSpot confirmed. So copies going out in October would not mean scores in October.

Should you wait for GTA 6 reviews before you buy?
