The fast food chain apologised if its tropical Instagram post looked like a tease, RockstarINTEL reports.
The short version
McDonald's UK told RockstarINTEL on 28 October 2026 that it has no plans for a GTA 6 collaboration, and apologised if a 19 October Instagram post had implied otherwise. The post showed a takeaway bag on a palm tree island at sunset, and the account's playful replies to fans set off talk of a GTA 6 meal, Beebom reported. Rockstar Games has not announced a McDonald's tie in. The GTA 6 food on sale so far comes from game brands like Burger Shot, at Kaseya Center in Miami and at Skinny Louie restaurants in Florida.
Quick answer
Is McDonald's doing a GTA 6 meal?
Not in the UK. McDonald's UK told RockstarINTEL on 28 October 2026 that it has no plans for a GTA 6 collaboration, and it apologised if an Instagram post had implied otherwise. Rockstar Games has not announced a McDonald's tie in, and the GTA 6 food on sale so far comes from game brands like Burger Shot.
A takeaway bag on a tropical island was enough to start a GTA 6 meal rumour. Nine days later, McDonald's UK says there is nothing behind it.
RockstarINTEL, a GTA news site, says the chain spoke to it, and it posted on X at 1.19pm GMT on 28 October.
“They've said they have no plans on a GTA6 collaboration and have apologised if the post was misleading & implied otherwise.”
That is RockstarINTEL's account of the conversation. We couldn't find the statement on McDonald's UK's own channels by 1.30pm GMT.
Did McDonald's tease GTA 6?
Not in words. Its 19 October Instagram post showed a takeaway bag on a palm tree island at sunset and never mentioned GTA, though fans and outlets linked the colours to GTA 6 artwork.
The replies did the rest. When a fan wrote "WE HAVE A GTA 6 HAPPY MEAL BEFORE GTA", the account answered "Incredible", and it sent an eyes emoji to another fan, as reported by Beebom. By 27 October outlets including Beebom were reporting a possible collab.

| 28 October | McDonald's UK tells RockstarINTEL it has no collab plans |
| 19 November | GTA 6 launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S |
Is there a GTA 6 McDonald's meal?
Not in the UK, and Rockstar Games has not announced a McDonald's tie in anywhere. A brand account joining in with launch month hype is a long way from a licensed partnership.
Where can you get real GTA 6 food?
In Miami. A Burger Shot stand inside Kaseya Center, the Miami Heat's arena, is serving fans combos from $28.50 before tax. Burger Shot is the fast food brand from the game.
The smash burger chain behind that stand, Skinny Louie, says Burger Shot will take over its Florida restaurants from early November to 31 December. Rockstar hasn't posted about either.
So the only GTA 6 burger you can actually order comes from Burger Shot, and for now you need to be in Florida.
