The short version

A purple GTA 6 banner was photographed going up on 19 October 2026 on a downtown Miami building with a Hotel YVE Miami sign on its roof, at 146 Biscayne Boulevard, by reporter Joel Franco. That address is inside the zone City of Miami Ordinance 14490 sets for GTA 6 banners. Neither Rockstar Games nor the city had announced it that evening.

Quick answer

Where is the GTA 6 banner in Miami?

A GTA 6 banner went up in downtown Miami on 19 October 2026, on a building with a Hotel YVE Miami sign at 146 Biscayne Boulevard. Reporter Joel Franco photographed it going up. The address sits inside the zone Miami set for GTA 6 banners, and Rockstar Games has not posted about it.

One month before launch, the words Grand Theft are hanging over Biscayne Boulevard.

Joel Franco, the Miami reporter behind the beach umbrella and Wynwood kiosk footage, posted two photos at 9.07pm UK time on Monday, which was 4.07pm in Miami. His caption says the banner was going up on the side of a building in downtown Miami.

Where is the GTA 6 banner in downtown Miami?

On a building facing Bayside Marketplace, at 146 Biscayne Boulevard.

Franco's photos, taken from across the road behind a row of palms, show a purple banner hanging just below a rooftop sign that reads Hotel YVE Miami. The hotel gives that address on its own site, and says it sits across from Bayside Marketplace.

The job was still going on. So far the banner covers a strip near the roof, with the words Grand Theft in the game's logo lettering, and people are standing on the roof edge above it. The floors below are still bare.

iGrandTheftAuto shared the photos 16 minutes later, calling it the first GTA 6 banner in downtown Miami, and Spanish language account GTAHouse posted them too. Both credit Franco, so this is one camera. His post had passed 20,000 views by 10pm UK time.

Is the banner inside Miami's GTA 6 zone?

Yes, going by its address.

City of Miami Ordinance 14490 lets the city permit GTA 6 banners in an area bounded by NE Fifth Street, the Miami River, Biscayne Bay and NE Second Avenue, Miami GTA Tours reports from the ordinance text. The hotel sits east of NE Second Avenue, south of NE Fifth Street and north of the river.

The rules are tight. Banners can go up from 15 October, stay no more than 56 days in a row and must come down by 31 December. Any banner over 5,000 square feet costs $208,000 per permit, and the money goes to the Underdeck, a planned park under the Signature Bridge in Overtown.

We do not know how big this one is, or when its permit was issued. We found no announcement from the City of Miami or Rockstar Games, and Rockstar's X account had not mentioned it by 10pm UK time.

How many GTA 6 banners could downtown Miami get?

Five, if every building the city discussed takes part.

Commissioner Damian Pardo, who sponsored the ordinance, told Miami Today that using all five potential locations would bring in more than $1 million. He also said each building needs approval from its homeowners association.

Fan accounts are quoting other numbers. iGrandTheftAuto wrote up to six banners at $202,000 each. That $202,000 was an early estimate, and the ordinance text sets $208,000, GTA BOOM reported.

What other GTA 6 marketing is in downtown Miami?

A rooftop sign a few blocks north, and a lot more inland.

The Welcome to Vice City sign has stood on the Kaseya Center roof at 601 Biscayne Boulevard since 22 September, according to the Miami GTA Tours takeover map, and USA Today covered its arrival. In Wynwood, street kiosks are cycling through 14 in game brand ads, as our Wynwood kiosk report lists. Our Miami marketing tracker covers the beach umbrellas and the county vote due on 20 October.

GTA 6 launches on 19 November 2026. If you are near Bayside Marketplace this week, look across Biscayne Boulevard and see how far down the purple has reached.
